About OCCD

Organization for Community Coordination and Development (OCCD) established and registered with the Ministry of Economy in 2013, is a non-profit, non-governmental, non-political, and independent organization. OCCD works in partnership with Government, development and implementing partners in Health, Education, Agriculture, and Livestock, Research and Development

Job Description

1. Community Engagement: Facilitate outreach activities to engage community members in educational programs, fostering collaboration between CBE classes and local authorities.
2. Awareness Campaigns: Develop and implement awareness campaigns about the importance of education, targeting parents, youth, and community leaders.
3. Resource Distribution: Coordinate the distribution of educational materials and resources to the CBE classes, students and teachers.
4. Training: Organize training sessions for parents and community members on supporting children's education and development.
5. Feedback Collection: Gather feedback from the community regarding educational needs and challenges, and report findings to project coordinators for continuous improvement.
6. Volunteer Coordination: Recruit and train community volunteers to assist with project activities, promoting a sense of ownership and participation in local education initiatives.
7. Partnership Building: Establish and maintain partnerships with local organizations, schools, and government agencies to support educational goals.
8. Monitoring and Evaluation: Assist in monitoring and evaluating project activities, collecting data to assess the impact of community mobilization efforts on education.
9. Advocacy: Advocate for policies and initiatives that enhance educational opportunities within the community, working with stakeholders to address systemic challenges.
10. Any other task given by the management.

Job Requirements

1. 1. At least 3 years experience in education, preferably in an NGO environment or educational setting
  2. Bachelor’s degree in education, development, or another social science
  3. An understanding of formal and non-formal education
  4. Understanding of government institutions, particularly the public school and CBE
  5. Good communication skills with fluency in written and spoken English, Pashto, and Dari
